Painting En Plein Air 👨‍🎨✨
A beautiful evening to be outside and painting. This is a wonderful picture of me and it’s my gouache setup. Gouache is an opaque watercolor that is recently seeing more attention with oil painters (and others) since it is convenient to use, dries quickly, and can be applied directly.

I think drawing can certainly help painting, from a skills, observation, accuracy, and perspective standpoint. But it is not required. Art is about creativity and open ended. There are no strict process rules. Be wary of artists who cite "requirements" or "musts". It is only their opinion and not an art law. There are no art police 🙂
